Despite being the younger of the first clutch of the clan, Layla has inherited her father's knack for magic and beyond, overpowering her more physical brother (Arcanist watch over him) and maybe even Cecil himself. To her mother's relief, she seemed to only take after her naive father in looks, species, and skills. Much like the rest of her species, words aren't needed. But neither is communication of any kind when she's absorbed in her arcane studies.

It's nice that she has found a passion in their flight's signature skill but her parents still worry that maybe she needs to widen her horizon. Hence why she's usually sent off with the other clan members when visits to the trading post and marketplace are needed. When she is not studying she is usually watching the nightly festivities that take place at the Vineyard. Not partaking, just watching.
