Delilah

It started off as a faint buzzing sound in the distance that could have been mistaken for a simple breeze in the leaves. But as it grew near, the swarm of chirping grew louder and louder until it threatened to bring the dragons to their knees. Hazelnut raised her head and stared into the trees above her, shocked to see a swarm of chikadee's above her that seemed to replace the leaves with feathers. They wailed down at her, twittering their feathers and hopping about, before finally falling silent. Nestled among them was a small, curious nocturne who's pelt matched their feathers, and she cocked her head in a similar mannerism before turning and vanishing into the cluster of birds.
