Ambitious, obsessive, irreverent.

Edda is officially the clan's apothecary, but she is essentially a witch. She is extremely talented but morally questionable, and is a frequent source of frustration for Matriarch Kyokko. Edda rarely leaves her kitchen during the day, and it's a long-standing myth among the clan that she never sleeps.

Though her official task is to create healing and bolstering potions and she does this very well, she has a bad track record of slipping in bonus "experimental" effects without the consumer's knowledge. When questioned, she has maintained that she "has no other way to put these things to the test" and that the clan should be thanking her since "it's the only reason we have that stoneskin potion you all love so much".

In truth Edda is totally obsessed with the arcane, and her main hobbies are destructive potion-making, spirit-summoning, and as of late, attempting to create life from death through alchemy. Although some of her explosive brews have aided the clan immensely in combat, the clan's more pious members do not appreciate seeing her occult rituals, and most of her peers greatly disapprove of her grave-robbing habit.

It's still up in the air if Edda will succeed in creating the world's first lab-grown Emperor, but until then she remains the clan's most valuable liability.
