When the clan first laid claim in the Lightweaver's domain, there was a Pearlcatcher oracle living in the ruins only a flight away. The oracle, seeing the clan bring in their belongings, was intrigued. Not more than a week after the clan's move, she approached their lair. There she was greeted with the kindness of their new leader, Runesong. She welcomed the oracle with open arms, and she was grateful for it. In return for Runesong's kindness, she told her of her abilities of prediction, and volunteered to foresee the future of her clan.
The oracle foretold of a brilliant dragon, with fur and scales that would glisten under the Lightweaver's light. He would be born with the brightest of eyes, indicating a mind just as bright and willing to learn; his shining white scales would glisten in the light to indicate his elegance; his bright gold wings would show his heart of gold. The gems that would grow on him would indicate his worth to the world. She described them as valiant and brave, always headstrong. The oracle described him as the clan's prince.
Some dragons of the clan dismissed what the oracle spoke up; Kazezuma, namely, laughed, summing it up to be a joke.

When he was born, the oracle immediately knew him to be who she spoke of.
"Aureate," she whispered under her breathe, slightly chuckling to herself. The small dragon looked up at her with large eyes. "Welcome to the light."
As was customary in Emberlight, hatchlings born in the clan were given names by the counsel within the clan. The counsel, hearing the oracle speak of him, agreed to name the hatchling Aureate. As a gift to both the clan and Aureate, the oracle presented him with a Sunbeam Soldier, one of the Lightweaver's own, when he was given his name.

Aureate spent most of his time within the boundaries of the clan, preferring to follow around the adults rather than spend time with the other hatchlings. He took a specific liking to Runesong and Greyhelm, wanting to follow their every move. He was entranced by the concept of Greyhelm taking on a charge and protecting them with his life; he loved how Runesong led the clan with determination and democracy. Through his own idols, he developed his own concepts of justice and valiance. He became a sort of mix of Runesong and Greyhelm, wanting to follow in their footsteps. Perhaps, though, he became a bit too headstrong; anybody that disagrees with him promptly gets an earful. He is stubborn and not easy to move, though the oracle claims that trait fits him.
Aureate was trained as a warrior by Emberlight's team. Greyhelm took Aureate under his wing; Kazezuma reluctantly agreed to train the dragon. Through perseverance and a headstrong personality, he became a Light warrior of his own clan.
