There are few nightmares, portents are terrors more pressing than heading a message and not comprehending it. Where other clans delves into knowledge and wisdom through searching Clan Hydraxes sift through dreams, forgotten lore and the field of battle chasing after the elusive meanings behind supernatural events and messages from the ancient dragons. Some call Hydraxes a cadre of battle-scholars and this is not too far from the truth. Each member is tasked with searching for the answers to their own dreams and portents and assisting those who come to them for advice.

He is known to be a formidable adversary possessing both patience and fortitude. Behind a gregarious personality is a cunning mind. It is this same intellect which allowed him to discern Demona's lies and her weakness during the trial by combat. August, can often be found with the other members of the Illuminated Hydra strengthening relationships, providing leadership and protecting the weakest among them.
