Delilah

Den Mother/Clan Leader
Protector and Leader of all of the dragons in her lair. Mated to Steffan

A kind, mothering, and protective dragon, Delilah started life as a Fae, born to a small traveling nature Clan. In fact, they traveled so often, that she was actually left behind as a hatchling. Her parents, not being the most nurturing of creatures, simply left her behind even after they realized she was not with them. A young Guardian male named Tracker came back for her and they decided to strike out on their own. They started to clear space for their own lair when they met a Spiral mage. The mage promised them a great gift if they would work for her, and so they did. Delilah & Tracker did favors for the mage for almost a year, and as a reward, they were each given magic Spiral scrolls. After their transformation, Delilah & Tracker came to the conclusion that they were not suited to be mates. Tracker met another and Delilah was swept off her claws by a handsome Spiral named Sequoia.

Delilah & Sequoia set out to establish a great lair, Tracker and his new mate stayed to be guards and Coliseum Grinders. Delilah's goal for the Clan was to become as dedicated to the Gladekeeper as possible and to build a sanctuary for dragons seeking to be closer to nature. However, being a Fae turned Spiral, her vast energies are unfocused, and she tends to forget the mundane tasks of running a Clan. She relied heavily on her mate to help her. Sequoia tried to be the support that she needed, and they did well for a while, but he wasn't a natural leader and couldn't keep things organized the way Delilah needed. He also had no patience for hatchlings and the two of them made poor parents so they scattered the nest. Shortly after that, she met her third and current mate, Steffan, who has taken up the responsibility of being her “caretaker” of sorts.

Delilah's permanent familiar is a Nature Sprite, though she sometimes spends time taming others. She also wears a few different skins as a disguise when she wants to go somewhere and remain hidden and hide her leadership status. Sometimes she will use a Strangler disguise, another is called Seedling for the brighter greens of springtime. They are brilliant disguises and do not draw much attention in her Nature habitat. When she needs to display her leadership she dons a set of Festival Apparel. Both in and out of her disguises, Delilah has a strong maternal instinct for the dragons in her Clan, watching over them carefully and helping to guide them on the path that best suits them. She also watches over the dragons who leave to permanently serve the Gladekeeper, and they are honored with the highest award. She hopes to one day earn a place in The Behemoth so her lair can truly be a sanctuary for any and all dragons willing to serve the Gladekeeper.

Delilah has no family to speak of. Her mate is Steffan, and she has had many children with him. Many of them have moved on as hatchlings will do. A high number of them choose to serve the Gladekeeper. She also has one son, Bloodwing, from her first nest with Tracker.
