Scion has inherited a curse passed down his family's bloodline for centuries. In death, their bodies are volatile, and may often resurrect as a gibbering, shambling shell of the dragon who once lived. When they form an Emperor, the undead-cursed line is especially dangerous, retaining a semblance of intelligence to guide the hulking beast.

Scion fears death above all else, and worries that he will turn on his friends if he is ever killed in battle. Ironically, his mate Ionor is a necromancer who dabbles with spirit magic- Scion believes that she may be able to control his volatility if he should fall on the battlefield.
