Hey, listen have you heard?!

History:

When she and her sister hatched, the time was as inopportune as the colours on their hides. The duo appeared minutes after the sole successful child in the nest sold to a thoroughly overeager buyer, and their colours hardly held a candle to that vibrant purple. So, instead of the excited cooing and humming that had followed that auspicious dragon, there was only a thoroughly awkward silence when the two tiny Coatls stood on wobbly legs, whilst above them, the parents exchanged worried looks. These were not successful primary shades - one was darker than the mother, the other greyer than the father. They would be very lucky indeed if they found a good home.

But the two adult Coatls didn't want a good home for their precious children - they wanted the very best. And so it was that a day or so after her hatching, the paler of the two was woken by bright, bright sunlight. However, she hadn't been left out in the desert to die, as some Lightning clans had been known to do - the entrance to her home lair arched behind her, and her father stood by her side, his hide so pale she could barely look at him. She chirped for food, of course, nuzzling at a leg, and lo and behold, he had some; a tiny grub, but to her, it was a meal fit for a queen.

And they sat in that beautiful day for what felt like forever. Sometimes, she'd play around his feet; sometimes, she'd dig a little in the soft sand; sometimes, she'd even try to bury his tail. But all things must come to an end, and in this case, it was when a dragon not much bigger than herself landed in front of them. If Menergy was hard to look at it, this guy was impossible - the heat of the desert shimmered about him, and his scales seemed to spark and glitter as though made of electricity. Her father, though he was by far bigger and heavier than the new arrival, lowered his head so far that it touched the ground, and the Wildclaw nodded briskly in response.

After that, words happened. Being very young at the time, she didn't know what to make of them, only that the smaller dragon was blocking her precious sunlight, and that her father wasn't paying much attention to her. Shiny gold coins changed claws, and the next thing the hatchling knew, she was playing with the Wildclaw's crest as he ran across the desert with her clinging to his neck. Then she was on a big cushion, eating food that just about melted in her mouth, fiery figures acting out myths and legends just for her, while her new father figure stayed close by her side to make sure she didn't attempt to eat the flames.

The mad self-proclaimed 'god of manliness', Brogon, was indeed quite barmy, but he knew many things, and lavished much attention on what was fast becoming his new charge. What he did not know about taking care of a young hatchling, his exiled girlfriend did, or at least she knew how to heal tummyaches from all the rich food. The Coatl learned to speak in record time, and soon had all the best myths - the ones where Manly McBro or Mighty McMan vanquished so many bears in record time - memorized. Her wings weren't very strong, but her legs were very long by Coatl standards, and she soon relied on them, keeping pace with Brogon when she was old enough to accompany him into the desert, Dalin soaring high above both of them.

When it was time to leave her adoptive parents, travel to the marketplace and step onto the auction block, she didn't try to escape - didn't even need the chain. Brogon and Dalin had taught her well; here sat a confident, energetic, strong young dragon, who wanted only to travel so she could protect those who needed protecting, in addition to spreading the good word on the importance of being manly.

All she needed now was someone to protect, and she'd be content.

... But this was not the case.

After a long trial of waiting on the auction block, A Nocturnes' attention was lured towards the bubbling Coatl, She would continue to babble and babble away at the nocturne, Sharing the word of the manly clan, only to slowly come to a hault as she started to notice her words were falling on dead ears, and an uninterested glare.. "Hey, are you listening?!"

"Of course I am." Cooed the raspy voice of the Nocturne, before she gave a tilt of her head, her eyes hardening into a much more dastardly stare. "...But why talk about a clan.. you'll never see again?" Allure simply stared at the Nocturne in complete disbelief ... Before she had a moment to retort against the Nocturne, she had already turned her back, and she was gone! The shiny coatl melted into silence, her thoughts spinning.
Not long after this, the nocturne returned, This time, she wasn't alone. "Now you learn the way of a real clan."

A rope was hooped around her neck to prevent her escape, and she was escorted once again across the desert. She attempted to talk about her manly birth home again before flinching away to a flash of sparkly teeth in her face, a muzzle snapping shut inches away from her nose, causing her to stumble back. "We don't talk about other clans here ..." she hissed.

...to be finished.

Personality: At a young age, she spent lots of time with Brogon, the clan's self-proclaimed god of manliness. Currently believes that she's his protege, and is off on a mission to spread the word of mangenta mans about Sornieth! With this said, however, her loyalty swings more towards those she feels a need to protect than her birth clan (who she believes are more than man menough to protect themselves).

Hasty and energetic, she's well suited for messenger tasks, as she can run almost as fast as she talks, which is very fast indeed; she has longer legs than your average Coatl. The downside of this is that she finds it hard to glide more than a few metres due to her increased weight. Though she could probably learn, it's going to be very hard to teach her - she rarely sits still or focuses on a task. Her orders always need to be written down, unless you want her to come back from fishing with several shiny rocks, a squirrel, and "this hella manly leaf."

Possible Positions: Something physically active would be good, as would a position where she can protect or care for something. Again, if the orders aren't just 'follow your instincts', they need to be written down for her to refer back to. Nestmothering, messenger, cook, gatherer, or athelete could all work here. Something that involves flying or magic would not be a very good idea, as she lacks the wing strength for the former and the concentration for the latter.

Where they'd like to go: An exciting, dynamic place, or otherwise somewhere with things she can protect! If your clan is big and strong, with nothing delicate to protect, she'd probably just want to pop in for a quick visit and move on.

Anything else: Spooner would appreciate it if you could return instead of exalting, but bronestly the dragon's yours now, and she will not come after you if you exalt anyway.
Purchase: Bought for 20k + 48k bribe.
