Aves was born to high standing, but the silver spoon was ripped from her mouth soon in life. Her father, chief among the nomad tribe was wounded in battle, and by the code, his power was diminished. They still enjoyed a moderate stance, and Aves was taught to hunt and survive. The clan tracked from the top of Dragonhome down to the edges of the Sunbeam Ruins, on the cliffs. They knew their paths, and they made camp along the same rivers an in the same glens, year after year.

Aves was a stunning tracker, and an excellent shot with the short spear weapons used by the younger hunters who's quarry were smaller and had fewer teeth. Once or twice though, a master huntsman would clandestinely bring her as accompaniment on a major hunt- a risk for both of them, but Aves generally performed quite well. She was tenacious, and could handle pressure easily, making her a favorite among the hunters in the tribe.

But when she found her mother beaten and running from their home, she knew she had one final hunt in her- those hunters whom she'd befriended, her betrayers. When the Shade struck, her life grudge was put off by the threat of ragnarök, but not squashed. She felt it, and even after her mother had died, she knew that once the tribe had the courage to show themselves again on the plains, she would repay their debt to her.
