Mire

Mire is very protective of the other Fae his age in the clan. When he first arrived, Willowisp had recently joined and Night had just hatched. He felt responsible for the safety of both the shrewd Willowisp and the naïve Night. Though he's incredibly small, even for a Fae, he is still quiet diligent in his duties as protector. Initially, he was particularly protective of Night, and this lead many to think he was in love with her. In reality, it was because he was confident in Willowisp's ability to defend herself; and that Night, though strong-willed like her parents, was more likely to succumb to deception and poor choices. After Digit arrived and began doting on Night, the clan noted a dramatic shift in his behavior as he started spending far more time around Willowisp, and began referring to himself as her bodyguard. He will still be quick to defend Digit and Night, as he is their protector, but as he sees it they are far less likely to fall into problems with the two of them looking after each other. But with her shrewd nature, sarcastic mouth, and pension for business deals, he believes it to only be a matter of time before Willowisp acquires her share of enemies. Since Night and Digit have each other, and Nico being Nico, and Grace being Grace, he can now focus his time on guarding Willowisp, his cunning wife, and his children, Jewl and Milo.
