Shock was always a very small and air-brained fae, but he always loved to invent. When he was still a hatchling living at home with his parents, he was trying to jerry-rig a system of lights on a string to light the tiny water cave his family's nest was in, due to his, erm, "special qualities," he dropped the whole thing into the water, along with himself, the resulting reaction left him scarred with a lightning pattern along his wings, but that didn't stop him from inventing. (It only got him kicked out of the water territory...) He went to seek dryer ground and figured the Shadow lands would appreciate his knack for making things illuminate a lot more than his home clan did. He was pretty wrong... after getting kicked out of clan after clan, trying to find his home became harder and harder. One morning he was out and about and saw the beautiful Aurora lounging on a rock in a tiny glint of sun, it reflected off her belly scales and he swooped down to profess his love to her, she thought he was a bug first and swatted him away to the ground, but he wouldn't give up. He brushed the dirt from his wings and flew back to her, bowed before her to catch her attention and said he would do anything for her love. She shrugged, "Alright, go get me a snack." After doing so he never left her side. He always loved the cute nicknames she would give him like "Sock", "Stick" and one time "Geraldo" but he didn't care what she called him, as long as he could love her.
