Cut from Crescent's bio before exaltation:
Dione warned Delilah of nesting with Symph again, since Symph and any of his offspring are technically eligible for the inheritance of Clan Leader. Neither Delilah nor Symph know of this relation and simply think Dione hates them for something more personal. Shortly after Crescent’s hatching, Dione stole him away and tried to abandon him in the clan of a stranger while her & her team (Wrath, Buttercup) were roaming the Sandswept Delta. Unfortunately for her, Auron figured out what she was about to do from his daughter Neve, and returned Crescent to the clan unharmed.

Symph & Delilah were frantic about Crescent’s hour-long disappearance, and even though Auron brought him back, he did not mention a word about Dione’s involvement.
