Matvey - Strategist
Mate of Kharfli
Personality:
Matvey is the proud son of Siberia, one of only two of her children to stay within the clan. He loves his mother dearly, but never wanted to follow in her footsteps as a warrior. However, Matvey is intelligent. He's always been quick, even if he does have a few, well, quirks as well. He has the brilliant ability to connect seemingly unrelated things together and come up with a strategy that by all rights shouldn't work, yet somehow does. It's a gift. Despite this he is very compassionate, and couldn't bring himself to personally bring harm to others. That's why he's the one who thinks up the plans, not the one that enacts them.

History:
Initially, when Matvey was born no one thought he would stay. It is rare that even a single child stays within their parents clan rather than seeking greener pastures, and Matvey's older sister Moriko had already elected to stay. It was an honest surprise when Matvey informed the clan that if they would have him, he would stay. He adored his mother, who doted of him fiercely, and if allowed he would wish to remain with her.
He'd grown up with battle stories as bedtime stories, and despite never stepping foot outside the clan territory was intimately familiar with each of the realms his mother fought in. He took great pleasure in researching them and letting his mother know which monsters were weakest to her attacks. He was just helpful that way.
As he grew older, a lovely dragoness came to stay with the clan. Her name was Kharfli, and she was the most beautiful dragon Matvey had ever seen. He was well aware that he wasn't exactly a winner in the looks department - a fact he often blamed on his father, but he couldn't help but be drawn to her sparkling form.
He was surprised beyond anything when it seemed his interest was not only noticed, but returned as well. Kharfli sought him out, and he told terrible jokes and made her smile.
It wasn't long after that Kharfli asked Siberia for her blessing to officially court Matvey and make him her mate. Perhaps a little odd as traditionally in a clan it was the dragoness's parents who were asked, but Kharfli's parents were absent and she rarely mentioned them. Matvey's parents, or his mother at least, were present though.
Matvey accepted with glee, and the two continue to this day to make an off, if very sweet, couple.
