If it boils, bubbles, or sparks, Nexus and her mate Codex are interested. Alchemy, electricity, anything so long as there's innovation.

If it exists, they will do science to it.

Nexus is perhaps on the more unethical side of science, though 'mad scientist' would not be quite accurate... mostly because one doesn't utter incendiary phrases within earshot of a sharp-clawed Mirror who knows draconic anatomy uncomfortably well.
