The talking and bustling of the lair settles down, until all becomes silent. Crickets sing under the full moon. Only a few dragons' eyes are open now. And outside, sitting atop the silver grass, is one of those dragons. A pearlcatcher with her head tilted up to the night sky. A pleasant smile warms her face, and her pale emerald eyes glow with that same warmth. Concealed under the collective song that rings through the air is scribbling, a sound created by a crystal guardian that sits near the content pearlcatcher. Another melody nearby is that of an energetic spiral's wings. And a silence that's masked by the music, is the observer. A skydancer who shares the same eyes as the one with her neck craned to the sky. She appears calm at a glance, but is hesitant and nervous. But back to the one cradling the precious pearl. Inside of her mind speak thousands of voices, billions of conversations. She smiles at them. The voices are Sornieth itself, The voices are what she's heard to, day after day... She never takes part in their buzzing conversations. She never joins in with their laughter. But she soaks up their words, and listens closely. She sits with the composers, yet is distanced from them. She smiles. Looking up at the planets and moons and stars, She smiles. |
