NEVERRAIN
Huntress and Inventor reserved | loyal | resourceful 
Neverrain has been industriously energetic from a young age. Born in the wind-infused climes of the Cloudsong itself, she has powerful wings that can carry her for miles without tiring. Called "Neverrain" because she has never let little things like torrents and tempests slow her down, the young Wildclaw's thirst for the next physical challenge has driven her from clan to clan in search of the toughest winds to tangle with. While she fights to better herself at every turn, Neverrain is not one to share her struggles or her secrets. Introspective and quiet, she lacks the elegant tongue that might more easily endear her to others. It doesn't matter; when the sky turns ugly with storm, she has only her own ingenuity upon which to rely. And that ingenuity is vast. To date, Neverrain has created a special coating that repels water from her wings and fur; a recipe for a healthful meat-mash that she credits as just as important to her magnificent physique as her constant sky-flying; a unique method of sky-hunting that has doubled her clan's meat cache; and a poisonous lacquer for nails that doubles as extremely cool-looking. |

The rain beat at her, the currents of wind twisting and pulling her with enough force to ground a lesser dragon. But Neverrain beat back with her powerful wings and squinted through the downpour. She could make out the cliffs of the Ascent below, and among them, the peculiar crooked pillar that marked a border of her new clan. Thunder sounded, deafeningly loud. The satchels slung at her sides hung heavy with food for the clan, enough to feed the little mouths that had recently broken free of their swirl-patterned shells. More and more, her clan had come to depend on her hunting for its reliable bounty. Their appreciation warmed her heart, made her want to try even harder, do even better. Why else was she so strong? A powerful gust of wind tried to knock her out of the air entirely. Neverrain permitted it to throw her into a roll and then rode the next current into a controlled dive. The cliffs were coming closer bit by bit. She flicked her head, water rolling down her face. Were it not for the coating she'd meticulously applied this morning, she would have been drenched and chilled all the way through. Neverrain barked a scream of laughter in the face of the storm, veering down sharply once more towards home. She had a clan that relied on her strength, and all this storm had was a little rain. |
