TIDE

Tide began life in the ice fields , her shimmery blue scales allowed her to blend in with her surroundings. Her childhood was much like hatchlings before her , learning to hunt with her parents and build a nest for herself when the time came. Tide always got along with other dragons but preferred to keep to herself and search for objects hidden in the snow.
Soon the day of leaving the nest drew near, Tide was confident she had the skills to build a life for herself amongst her beloved ice .. this was not the case. As the weeks turned into months she
grew lonely, yearning for someone to huddle with at night against the cold. The following morning she awoke normally , wrapping her wings to keep warm and shuffling out of her small cave and into snow. Squinting her eyes she saw a figure begin to form in the distance, clutching her pearl she began to edge closer. It was another dragon. Now excited Tide trotted towards the growing outline, a sea green Pearlcatcher sat in the distance gazing into the water.
Introducing herself the two became fast friends. Seeing one another almost everyday they quickly grew closer and began to spend their days hunting with each other. After a few weeks her newfound friend Viin invited her back into his lair where he lived with dragons from all over the world.
Agreeing , Tide packed her things and followed Viin into a large brightly lit cave, dragons circled over her head in the cavern, other dragons sat with one another in peaceful company. Tide knew she had found a home with Viin , forever.
