Ujin's First Lieutenant

H I S T O R Y

Peril was born into a family of vicious Plague wildclaws. She was the last child of her parents nest, who were known as Soulfix and Calamity. Her mother, Calamity, grew ill and she was sent to be taken care of by her deranged father, Soulfix. Soulfix had become obsessed with seeing his children grow into fine warriors, but he saw something else in Peril. No one is sure what he thought of her, but some think he may have seen a vision of his demise at her claws. Whatever it was, Soulfix for some reason detested Peril. He gave her the pathetic name Shortwing and beat her and starved her. When he was done toying with her, he sent her away to the Auction House, claiming he never wanted to see a dragon as pathetic as her again.

Shortwing was then took in by a younger, newer clan in the Wind Flight. There she prospered and was cared for by the clan Founders, Viper and Valor. She made great friends with their hatchlings Rose and Savage, and became very happy in her new clan. When she was old enough, she began training to be a warrior, and is now an elite knight and the strongest warrior in her clan. After her training, she was given her new name Peril, and was given a set of armour as a gift. Despite all her success, Peril was missing something.

She had a thirst inside of her, as if she could sense somewhere far away a great enemy that she had known a long time ago that was calling to be met in combat. This desire was also brought more real with strange dreams of a shadowy wildclaw waiting for her across the Plague border. Unable to resist this calling, she left in the middle of the night and ventured out to the Scarred Wasteland. Upon reaching her old territory and home, the memories came rushing back, and she knew then what she was looking for. With new determination, Peril found the caves of her old clan, which reeked of death. Upon going inside, she found dead bodies everywhere, of starved and sickened clanmates of long ago. IN one corner she found her mothers body, but her time for grieving was cut short by the sudden appearance of her father, lurching out of the shadows. Soulfix had indeed gone insane, from disease and starvation, and from feasting on the bodies of his former clanmates. Upon seeing Peril, he leapt at her to attack. Peril countered, but Soulfix was a dragon gone mad, as if the Plaguebringer herself had possessed him. He fought so savagely that Perll could hardly fight back. Soulfix realized this, and leapt at her with all his might. But he had underestimated Peril, and she dodge and then gave him a swift kick with her taloned foot, not only breaking Soulfix's neck, but also sending him down into the Wyrmwound, where he sank below the bubbling liquids surface, never to be seen again.

Upon returning to her clan, Peril took up a mate, and has raised many fine warrior wildclaws. She still continues to fight back the Beastclans for her clan, and will gladly fend off an unwelcomed dragon if necessary. Most of her time is spent planning and preparing for battles with her long time companions, Savage and Rose.
