Perennis has always had a knack for making others happy. Even as a hatchling, most noticed his fairly remarkable ability to make music after he was given one of his original clan's instruments. After having one made just for him, he practiced on that far more than he did his chores. Most of the time, no one minded - as he got better, the songs he spent his days playing were a welcome background noise.

There was only so much he could do in his clan, unfortunately. He decided to set out once he was old enough to travel to other places, feeling like he could learn so much more by meeting musicians of other clans and hearing the music they played. It was a learning experience, and he has grown much since his days playing music in the Gardens of his original clan. It had also allowed him to pull out of his shell, somewhat - he left the clan rather shy, but has since blossomed into a dragon with far more confidence in himself.

All travels, of course, have to come to an end at some point. With all the new knowledge of music he had acquired, he settled down in a territory where he could play to his heart's content. As it turns out, he still has quite a knack of lifting people's spirits with his talents.
