Born to Berwin, the Clan's withdrawn leader, and Catis, who cared deeply for her hatchlings, even if she had never planned to have any.

Koran was the unfortunate middle child in his clutch. Atlas, his older brother, was just like their Dad. He was bright beyond his years, a natural scholar. His younger sister, Mouse, had magic flooding out her pores. She was immediately placed to study under the Healer.

But him? He didn't know what he was yet.

So when he approached his Mother about what he could do, she suggested an adventure. Wandering all the lands in hopes to find who he is or where he belongs.

'And maybe,' she whispered to him before he left, 'you'll come back to us.'

'And if I don't?' he asked quietly.

'Then we'll know you've found where you belong.'

Koran found himself in a clan packed full of Coatls, Nocturnes, and Ridgebacks. His tiny size was very out of place and the language barrier between his kind and the overflowing Coatls was too much, he was very overwhelmed and felt unwelcome. He definitely didn't belong here.

Fortunately Koran met with another fae among the outskirts of the next clan. Urozhai hissed at him and warned him away, explaining the darkness that was to be found in the once-normal Light clan. Sensing the evil and believing the other despite his unfriendly nature, Koran quickly took wing once more.

At long last, Koran was found by a friendly clan who welcomed him with open arms. He thought he was happy despite there being only one resident fae, Moscovia. He was tempted to stay, but it was oddly lonely. Perhaps he would find a clan with more of his kind, as suggested by his new friend.
