⛧ Ethecatl The Assassin Gallant | Forthright | Sceptical ╰ bio template by squidragon |
╭
Ethecatl is not afraid to confront someone regardless of the issue, which, although having landed her in a few brawls, has always resulted in instant respect for the somewhat outwardly-cold Imperial. She is thorough and precise in her attacks, and has defeated many enemies with ease given her excellent maneuvering tactics. She has been nicknamed 'Soul of the Wind', due to her silent way of approaching, soundlessly gliding through the air. Her blood crystal coat is a stark contrast to the icy wings, legs and mane; many have noticed her appearance before they hear her approach them because of this. Domineering and an amazing spokesdragon, one would think she was too 'high above' for friends, whereas in reality, this is quite the opposite.

BACKGROUND -
Ethecatl was born into the Gladekeeper's world - if it's anything to go by the colour of her eyes - the direct rival of the Flight that she now inhabits, being Plague.
Her mother was a beautiful, silvery Nocturne who came from Plague itself. Due to her eyes being a blood red, many of the hatchlings feared her, judging her for her looks - something that, Ethecatl came to learn, was never correct. One should not judge based on appearance, her mother would always remind her as she snuggled up to Ethecatl's mother: the saying stuck, especially considering how Ethecatl knew that her mother was a kind soul who would give up her own food if it meant that an abandoned hatchling would have at least one sunny day in their miserable life.
Ethecatl's father was a reserved, albeit tall and proud Imperial. It was often muttered among their rank that she and her brother, Peddler, took after their father in terms of looks and the pride that he had over the progress hatchlings of all breeds made when they grew big enough to start learning some skills. Ethetcatl's father was also subject to some disapproval and prejudice - having come from the Iceweaver's land, his eyes carried an eerie, silver look, as if he wasn't quite alive but a little... Frozen, in fact. Regardless of this, it was widely acknowledged that he was kind and fair, preferring to teach the hatchlings to fly rather than to reprimand them for getting lost. Many dragons of all ages flocked to him for his midnight tales of the times when he participated in savage attacks in the Coliseum - which is where he met the mother of Ethecatl.
Ethecatl was the firstborn of a nest of five eggs - which, one would argue, could be why she is quite the adept leader and heralds a fiery temper to be reckoned with. She always looked out for her other siblings, who consisted of her youngest brother Valenzio, her (favourite) brother Peddler, her sister Gwendolyn and her other brother, who remained unnamed and disappeared into the abyss of someone else's Lair.
Her parents nurtured her and the others until they had all grown up, but as time went on and her other siblings found their own homes and their own mates, she found herself unwanted and lost. She felt rather alone, and bored, so she decided to set off and explore, eventually wounding up at a new, weird place which was to become her home - the Mighty Lair of the Abiding Boneyard. Though Ethecatl was awkward and afraid at first - something quite out of her character - she was welcomed with open wings by the founders of the lair, being a male Fae named Veles and a female Mirror named Rufescent. This is where she met a quiet Nocturne, named Ryul.
Ryul and Ethecatl became friends quickly after their first encounter, and whilst their personalities contrasted - Ryul being shy and worrisome, and Ethecatl being gallant and persistant - they fitted together like two pieces of a clay pot. Unfortunately, after several years, Ryul left to serve a higher cause in the Lightweaver ranks, leaving his friend but nonetheless wishing to stay in touch somehow.
Ethecatl resides in the same lair to this very day, and trains daily to strengthen her resilience to attacks.
