A R C A D I U S
 He was alive but yet not. Awake and asleep all at once. His energy shifted, expanded, took on a new form, and finally burst outwards from his very soul. He was the very essence of the word magic but he was not yet born, no, he was far from that. He could feel the energies of the great dragons who slept beneath the earth pull against him, dragging his soul awake and giving it purpose. From these sources of energy, his egg was formed, nestled safely within a crystal somewhere on what would one day be the Focal Point of the Starfall Isles. He could feel Sornieth change around him, sense the chaos and darkness from the Shade threaten to break the world of all that was living, but no matter what he did or thought, it was far too soon for him to be born, so, along with his ancient magic, Arcadius slept and waited. He could see the magic flowing through his veins, runes of indecipherably languages danced across his vision, forming words and spells, ancient tomes, and memories of days past. As he slept, he grew more knowledgeable. His infinite wisdom expanded, branched out, and danced along the land of Sornieth as he entered a meditative state. His very soul bled out from his egg and took in the land around him, he could see the ground coming back to life and dragons thriving upon the world they now knew as home. Soon, he knew it was time. In a flash of blinding energy and power, the crystal holding his egg cracked straight down the middle and was absorbed by his energy. He took in the raw, natural energy and allowed it to aid his coming into this world. Very gently his shell ebbed away like an ocean slowing receding from the shore. However for him, it was more like waves receding to become the chaos which is a tidal wave. As his eyes opened for the first time, a burst of pure, insane, and exquisite energy blasted through the air and signified his awakening. His feathers and scales shimmered with the forgotten language of runes as he took off into the sky, seeking knowledge and a place to call his home with others of his kind. |
