Ever since Soterasiel was a young hatchling, she has had a hard-won affinity for any and every type of fauna. A few days after being born, a Sunspot Clouddancer attempted to steal her away, presumably as a meal. But, somehow she managed to not only stop him herself, but also befriend and make it her familiar, which she then dubbed Hearth. Soon after, she began spending as much time as possible with the unpaired familiars of the clan. She was able to gain their trust (albeit some faster than others) and when she came of age Kyrain granted her the position of familiar caretaker. Every day she makes the rounds and bonds with every familiar without a partner, and is also in charge of feeding and providing for them, although she occasionally employs the clan's hatchlings or newcomers to help. Her fiery, hotheaded personality lends to her abilities and she never backs down from a challenge. However, she can be painfully inept socially, and seem rude to other dragons, so she prefers to observe from afar with Hearth. Hearth himself is taciturn and flighty, and acts much like a cat for the most part. Soterasiel has never taken a mate, and would rather keep it that way, being aromatic. She adores her friends instead, frequently giving them gifts and letting them care for the familiars with her.
