Everything was itchy here, the light, the sound, the hustle and bustle, everything just seemed so busy.

But she kinda liked it here, the trading caravan she had bought passage with had dispersed into the sea of other dragons that came out with whoops and shouts to meet them, they all belonged somewhere. Fathers and mothers showed their children the toys and little oddities they had picked up from the auctions, while others helped unload the more practical supplies- food and materials for various crafts.

Everyone was busy and happy at the return of the caravan, Epidemic felt a pang of jealousy, she was an outsider, intruding on these precious moments. She didn't have the right to be here, a dark cloud over the happy faces. She should never have come. She scanned the crowd for a set of red eyes, but none could be found. If this clan didn't have a strong plague dragon she would have to move on soon.

She sniffed a bit, eyes glistening as she thought of her Pandemic. If he were here, she would have to find a plague dragon. They had been separated in the chaos of the auction house. He would, no, he should be here to snap her out of this funk. The parasite inside her screeched harshly, she tried to ignore the familiar pressure in her ears. No one else seemed to hear, or take note of the noise Pandemic could hear it, he understands my pain she told herself as the pressure built up. But without her plagueling mate and his soothing magic, the pain was too much for her, and the world faded to black...

Concerned for her mysterious new patient, Wyni paced while the fae recovered behind the curtain. The fit she saw was something new to her, then again, she was certainly not the most experienced medic out there. Was this a transmittable disease? How would she contain it? What if she couldn't? What if it was already too late? Would everyone in her clan soon look like this newcomer? Her heart raced. Wyni felt out of her depth, the clan was a peaceful one, and in the clean seaside air, she had never really had to deal with anything worse than a broken bone or gash from the odd hostile beastclan.

Make no mistake, Epidemic is most certainly a lightning dragon, but hatched from a found egg in the abiding boneyards, she grew up a plagueling. As many of them do, she has picked up a parasite from her time in plaguebringer's domain. Her colouring is the result of this parasite as it lives inside her, it messes up her body. While she was largely unbothered by the changes to her outward appearance, the parasite also causes debilitating headaches - which Epidemic experiences as loud sounds or a high pressure inside her head.

Her previous mate, Pandemic was a plague dragon from the clan she had hatched in. He had been her childhood friend and later, her mate. The pair had travelled out of plaguebringer's domain as she got older and sicker, and it worked, she thrived in the Hewn city but the one parasite never left her. Pandemic was infected with the same variety, however, being plague element, it was a fairly benign condition for him. Only the phyisical effects showed, and he had no other troubles or pains. His skill with healing plague magic meant that he could easily treat Epidemic's ailments, including the headaches.

The parasite is non contagious outside the scarred wasteland as its pupal stage cannot survive without the strong plague magic.
