You are looking for something. You aren't sure what it is you're looking for, but in other lifetimes, you have left yourself notes and clues in a tattered notebook you carry with you at all times - as well as many labelled vials and jars filled with scents to stir your memories.

You have been wandering Sornieth for what you assume is a very long time. You can't quite remember all of it, but every once in a while a scent will drift by on the wind and treat you to a memory of another time - grand festivals, bitter losses, happy reunions... Your poor memory doesn't bother you much, however. It makes every experience seem like a new one.

You are quite certain, however, that you have never been here before. Few things smell familiar, and you certainly don't recognize any of the surroundings. The air is thick with arcane magic, as it always is in the Starfall Isles, and you smell an interesting array of dragons quite nearby. Curious - as it isn't often you come across such a bouquet of scents - you follow the aroma to a very large hole in a cliff-face. In front of the opening, two rather intimidating dragons eye you from a distance as you admire the large stone statue of a spiral set upon an elaborate platform.

It speaks to you.

"Hark, traveller," the stone wyrm says. You do not hear the words so much as think them, though they are not your own. "My name is Percival - I was a member of the clan that resides here many moons ago, and have kept watch ever since. It is rare that a lone visitor comes by, and rarer still one I have not met before. What is your name?"
