When Alchemic Brew was just a youngling, and her parents would visit the Trading Post, she would run up to Baldwin's Bubbling Brew and inquire any dragon working about their cauldron. What did they put in there? What's it going to make? Brew spent so much time around the cauldrons that the smoke began to stain her. Her parents were worried by this and tried time after time to scrub their little skydancer clean, but it wouldn't come off. Baldwin assured Brew's parents there would be no adverse effects, that it was just altered coloration.

Alchemic Brew has grown up and is on her path to becoming a master of Alchemy. She teaches others in her clan and also offers her services as the clan Shaman. She carefully crafts potions suitable for rituals, cleansings, divinations, and basic healing. When she's not brewing for others, she often experiments with recipes.

Overview: Bitelings are strange, tiny dragons the size of mice, though they are more insect than mammal. They are alarmingly potent when it comes to magic. Fortunately, they are also natural cowards; it takes a great deal of stress or provocation to earn a Biteling’s punishing spellwork.

Physical Attributes: Their bodies are covered in fine, dusty hairs that have a wide range of chemical attributes based on their elemental nature to discourage larger beasts from eating them; fire Bitelings leave a stinging burn on the tongue, plague Bitelings induce nausea and vomiting, water Bitelings provoke excess salivation to the point of dehydration, and so forth.
Social: Being so tiny, they are naturally shy and inclined to hide in the fur and scales of larger dragons. They are clever and quick to pick up the languages of those around them, even able to speak in native Coatl without formal education.

Often, a clan will not notice the presence of a Biteling until it chooses to make its presence known. They tend to latch on to a friendly dragon to silently and secretly observe the clan before devising a way to introduce themselves and figure out what they can offer - some choose to be monitors and scouts, others enjoy sorting and polishing jewelry, and many find satisfaction in tending to paperwork to make tiny calculations and notes to help the clan.

Lairs: While in a clan, their home tends to be whatever hollow they can line with fabric scraps and stray hair or feathers from clanmates; their little nests can be found in dried gourds, empty pottery, abandoned instruments, the gaps in bookshelves, etc. With their homes being so diminutive and easy to accidentally sweep away, they never seem bothered to have to rebuild a new home from scratch. On the rare occasion that they build a nest that lasts for years, they might get a bit pickier with choosing colors and materials to construct their homes out of.

Curiously, Bitelings have not been observed by other dragons to take nests or tend to any young, their reproductive cycle being a complete mystery.
