Threep's lady-love is a feisty and opinionated Guardian. She's something of a homely sort, a well-to-do and high born noble-dragon, who left her home in the Sunbeam Ruins to be closer to the pirate who stole her heart. Although Marchesa herself prefers the adventures of navigating high society, to those of the high seas, she loves her saucy pirate lad. She waits contently on shore while he's away, and is always there to welcome him when he comes home. Bedecking herself in the latest finery her beau procures from around the world, she is always the talk of the town. Some dragons may find their affair scandalous - after all, Threep is a pirate! Of poor breeding! And he's always away for so long, and not helping her maintain her nest like a good mate should! But Marchesa, ever obstinate, never lets their disapproving looks bother her.
