The Mother, the Autumn | YEARWALKER

As the first rays of sun broke unto the land, so did the dragoness move outside her burrow to greet the newly arrived dawn. Humming quietly, her clawed toes dug with ease into fresh mold of mud and grass, marking her presence within the Snowsquall woods. Treading lightly, the large reptile had yet to glance over her folded wings, but she did not.

She knew he was here; his plated muzzle caressing the scales on her sides. His chilly breath racing down her spine.

The winter was here.
