Biography
As the Co-Founder of her Clan, DokuRio is a very proper dragon. She doesn't so anything to fast or to slowly, and tries to always maintain her composure regardless of the situation. A calm dragon, she's been called; Although her companion Solemn, knows her as a very passionate being.
She never really had a family growing up. She always shied away from others and therefore was treated as a loner. No one ever attempted to socialize with her. No one befriended her. Until Solemn. They met in a meadow one day when Doku was once again, playing by herself. "Hi" was all he said for a moment. And she didn't respond. " Who are you?" he asked stepping closer. She didn't know if she wanted to talk to him. He persisted in his questioning of her for several minutes(as children tend to do) until he started to grow bored. So he said his goodbyes and left.
She didn't see him again for a long time, well, long for a child. In reality it had only been a few weeks. Doku had gone back to the meadow for the first time since meeting (if you can call it that) Solemn. She starts her normal day off by playing with some butterflies when she spots something behind a rock. When she gets close enough to see what it is, she finds green eyes staring back at her.
A lot happened that day, but the most important thing was the friendship and love that followed the fateful meeting.
Doku and Solemn spent an immense amount of time together before starting their own clan. They talked for hours and hours about how they would find other dragons to join them. It dawned on them one day that they didn't need to recruit anyone. They would be open to all. They wanted to be the place where other dragons felt safe as well as respected in their own choices.
And so, after some months they found a place. They settled back down into the forests and meadows they had called home for so long, and they opened their lair to all dragons.
It didn't take long for their lair to become full. They had to pull together and save enough together to enlarge their living quarters. Babies were born and left. Adults wandered through only to stay for a short time. And others made this lair their permanent home.
It was one normal day; one where Doku had been doing her normal duties, watching after her fellow clanmates; when she over heard one of the younger girls talking to one of the children. Doku heard her name and listened closer, "She is our Queen. She may not allow that to be her title, but she truly is. It is her and Solemn that have kept this grove safe and welcoming to all. We owe them." That was all she could hear as the two walked away.
It was shocking to hear these words. She had never considered herself a Queen. A leader maybe, but Doku had never entertained the idea of being a Queen. She talked to Solemn and to her surprise he had already known about it. It turns out that most of the permanent clan thought of her as Queen, and even called her as such when referring to her.
She called a meeting that same night.
She asked everyone to tell her how they felt, and what they wanted out of this life. It took several hours to talk it all out in such a way that everyone was happy. But in the end, she was crowned Queen.
