Dezershia Defender Protection | War | Strength Deep, piercing waves of humming sound reverberate in her head. She perches atop a watchtower on the edge of a plateau, keeping watchful, but bored eyes on the world. They are safe from the outside world due to the barrier. Nothing comes in, nothing comes out. And yet, her clan suffers. The cries of her constituents fills her mind, filling her with visions of black, shiny tendrils wrapping around their heads and pulling them slowly, agonizingly, into the earth. She feels the darkness encroaching from somewhere deep below her, silent leeching waves emanating from those she stands with. The abyss yields monsters who walk in their midst, creeping silently within the crowds, changing those they call their friends. She hears the soft hum of working machines, the tiny, dim bulbs in vast darkness. And though the light was broken, she did not know how to fix it. |
