He is strangely obsessed with cowboy attire and panning for gold for an Ice dragon. His mannerisms lean more towards Light, but either he's oblivious or just an oddity. When he's not panning, he's digging in the dirt or mining away in search of ores. His nose acts as his magnet to potential ore deposits- and its never failed him. The rest of the clan suspects he actually has a magnet implanted in his nose, but that's just the rumor.

Proteus has supplied the clan with plentiful ore and gemstones that he deemed 'flawed'- though no one understands what that means. You wouldn't guess it from his upbeat, happy-go-lucky attitude, but he's clinically depressed. His own obsession keeps him from dwelling on his thoughts, and everyone is quick to support him and his interests.

"He's always in search of perfection- which I'm afraid he will never find," foretold by Braemar, the Oracle. "Don't ever tell him though, it seems to be his only drive to keep himself busy. If that's taken from him, he will fall deeper in depression."
