The mage had been born in the deep waters of Tidelord's domain, where dragons of high calibres of magic and foresight were born. A visiting warlock had arrived at his home and had taken the young coatl under his wing after seeing his powers.
The warlock, a guardian, was of the dark twisting brambles of the Tangled Wood. He was old but highly skilled. He had taught Saraneth all that he had known, before dying from an experiment gone wrong.

Saraneth, knowing that the old guardian would have wanted him to continue exploring Sornieth and discovering more knowledge, set off through the woods. He travelled for days, occasionally stopping to record something interesting in his journal, before placing it back in his bag and continuing on his way, alongside a boran he had befriended.

Whilst it was nice to be travelling alone and keeping to himself, Saraneth had soon started to crave the companionship of other dragons. Tired and weary, he decided to stop at a tavern.

Making sure that he had enough treasure with him to rent a room for a night or two, he stepped through the door. Just for a few days and then I'll continue onwards, he thought.

As he looked up from his bag, he spotted the most beautiful tundra he had seen. The other's eyes were a warm, rich amber, and his smile was almost contagious. Saraneth, a dragon who had lived in solitude almost all his life, had fallen in love with a tundra with a personality like the sun.
W-well, I guess it wouldn't hurt to stay for a while longer.
