    Kalira started life as a curious little fae with big dreams of traveling the world and seeing all there was to see. Her passion lied in studying the flora and fauna of all the different regions, but that didn't keep her from wanting to visit as many landmarks as she could. Her mother asked her not to leave the safety of their clan, but her pleas fell on deaf ears and Kalira left her home for parts unknown (to her anyway).

    Of course, her dreams were complicated by her small size and her naivety of the world outside her family's roost. She traveled for days just to reach the edge of the Viridian Labyrinth, and it was only then she realized she'd gone the wrong way. She had intended to travel to Dragonhome and make a pilgrimage to the Pillar of the World. The stories of dragon history always fascinated her, and a small, superstitious part of her thought visiting the pillar would somehow protect her on her travels.

    Instead, she looked across the water to see dark trees dot the distant landscape.She would have turned around and continued looking for Dragonhome, but little glowing blue spots on the trees intrigued her. She had never seen such a sight in the Viridian Labyrinth. Like a moth to a flame, she flew over to the Tangled Wood.

    Shadow's domain is dangerous for a lonely fae. At first she was distracted by the glowing mushrooms and dark tree species, but soon the dark mist felt oppressive and dangerous. She could hear movement around her and whispers in the foliage. The thought of being attacked by one of the Beastclans ran through her mind. In fear and desperation, she hid in the hollow middle of a fallen log and asked Gladekeeper for help to defeat her foes.

    After a sleepless night, Kalira emerged from her hiding spot and looked around. Perhaps, Gladekeeper had not heard her calls the night before... Just as she thought this, a mirror pushed its way out of the adjacent underbrush. Kalira shuddered and quickly withdrew back into hiding. Her mother had always told her mirrors were vicious.

    His four green eyes blinked and he asked her if she was the one who prayed for help, claiming Gladekeeper sent him from her service to join Kalira in her travels. It took some convincing for her to leave the log, but soon they were traveling the rest of the Tangled Wood. Aurelius kept his eyes open for trouble while Kalira studied any curiosity she could find.
