As a child Ember was never very outgoing nor easy to get along with. Instead of taking to other dragons she found far more comfort in speaking with the critters surrounding her kingdom. Oftentimes she could be seen outdoors after sneaking away from her lessons, playing with the beasts of the land. Inevitably, even that was not enough to satiate Ember's thirst for adventure, and by the time she was old enough to leave her home she was already long gone.

Her travels brought her to the Sea of a Thousand Currents on a quest to visit her birthplace, but even there she didn't feel perfectly content. Once again she took off to find the perfect home, traveling far and wide from Dragonhome to The Southern Icefields. Of all these places, none felt quite like home to her. It wasn't until she got lost in the forest and brambles of The Tangled Wood, escaping only to fall into the neighboring Plague flight did she feel at home.

Recalling the sights from above as she flew over the vast lands, her last intention was to land in The Scarred Wasteland for the obvious reason that it simply looked gross and unwelcoming. Of course her opinion hardly changed on the place now that her feet were on the ground. In fact, the place disgusted her still, and the dragons taking permanent residence there were more often than not terrifying in their own ways. Regardless, Ember decided to give the place a fair chance and made a home in the Wandering Contagion, too scared to travel any further in just yet. Still, she got to know the creatures living within the borders of The Scarred Wasteland and soon enjoyed their company just as much as she did the animals roaming around in her homeland. To this day Ember is still very awkward around other dragons, preferring to keep her secrets to the beasts she trusts. She hopes to keep the fact that she is a noble princess to herself as she further establishes herself in the land of Plague.
