Anthousa

Anthousa is a playful and friendly coatl, but dislikes large gatherings, becoming quite shy and awkward when put in the spotlight. She is self conscious about her clumsy claws and avoids flying for fear of other dragons seeing her wobble in the air. She has a poor sense of balance, but a vibrant and adventurous imagination. When she is recounting a story, she completely forgets herself, and is at her most confident.

She was quick to befriend Aphaea, who was quiet and often alone, but not out of shyness. Aphaea is a talented young craftsdragon, earnestly pursuing her dream of becoming a masterful and respected maker. Anthousa loves the little trinkets and charms that her friend makes, and though she's too clutzy to help with the work, has still found other ways to be supportive. It was Aphaea's idea that Anthousa become a wordsmith, a craft that doesn't rely on dexterity and is unhampered by clumsiness. And Anthousa has been able to accept and appreciate herself, with the acceptance and appreciation of her friends.

She enjoys bright colors and strong scents and flavors, thoroughly enjoying her walks through the Driftwood Drag when the moss is flowering and the mushrooms are shining brightest. She'll try anything once, and has fallen for many pranks from her clanmates because of this. It's terribly embarassing, but she forgives them, and has not become any less trusting because of it.
