 Name: Anise Element: Arcane Sex: Female Gender: Genderfunked Pronouns: Any Species: Snapper Position: Head Gardener & Caretaker Sexual Orientation: Queer Breeding mate: None Romantic Orientation: Queer Romantic mate: None Relationships: Nymeria: As the main caretaker during Nymeria's hatchling days, Nymeria considers Anise as a sort of surrogate mother, and can often be seen spending time with her just talking and relaxing while Anise gardens. Lilith: Unknown to Lilith, Anise is one of the few dragons that knows of the Queen's true nature -- that is, that she's a Nature dragon, rather than an Arcane one. However, she feels that she owes Lilith her life, and thusly would never dare mention this discovery to anyone else. (And, if Anise is maybe a little in love her savior, well, that bit doesn't exactly hurt either.)
Short Bio:
Anise was barely past fledgeling age when she wandered too far from her birth Clan, stumbling foolishly into the territory of an unfriendly group of rogues. Though not a bad fighter, Anise was vasty out-numbered by the patrol she ran into, and had no one come to her aid, she might have met a disastrous end that day. However, luckily for her, Lilith and a small patrol happened to be flying overhead, and were quick to interfere -- not with tooth and claw, but with pure reasoning and intimidation, Lilith managed to talk the rogues down and leave without a true altercation. Despite Lilith shrugging off all of Anise's offers of repayment, Anise has felt from then on that she owed Lilith her life, and she was quick to officially leave her birth Clan and come to join the Keepers afterwards. Among the Clan, Anise is known mostly for her kindness. She's always available to lend a helping hand or offer kind (if often painfully honest) advice, and for this reason is often the Caretaker that most hatchlings return to for visits even after they've reached adulthood or left on journeys to other Clans or Flights. This is a thrill for Anise, as she develops deep attachments to every hatchling that crosses her path. Her main role, however, is as the Head Gardener of the Keepers -- a crucial job, given their commitment to the flora of their territory, especially the trees. Luckily, Anise was influenced at a very early age by her grandmother, Marina (6254474), who is a Nature dragon and often taught Anise about the local flora and plant-life and sparking Anise's interest in gardening at a young age. Anise's plant-work isn't all about keeping the garden pretty and healthy, however -- Anise takes a large interest in the alchemic properties of plants, and the different spells and potions one can create with them. For this reason, she often asks explorer and scavenger dragons to fetch her rare or foreign plants and seeds when they explore so that she can study and plant them for later use. Anise might do this herself, but unlike other Snappers, Anise has no interest in following her nomadic nature and instead uses this boundless energy to work through the night in the garden. |
