Fusin was an orphan from the very beginning. Abandoned as an egg, he was left in the heat of the Ashfall Waste to rot.
Luckily for him, however, his egg was found by a scavenging party that had come from the Sea of a Thousand Currents. The party took his egg back to their clan, making sure to care for it and incubate it until it hatched. When the little Guardian popped out, the clan decided to name him Fusin.
Even as a hatchling, little Fusin was intrigued by the clan’s forge- perhaps because of his Fire blood. Though it was not used often (for Water clans don’t work with fire and smelting on a daily basis), Fusin was always messing around in the workshop. He lived for the rare occasion when some of the older dragons would heat up the forge to create something new, and would always beg for them to let him help out.
When Fusin matured into an adult, there was little argument on what his job would be. Even then he was already quite skilled with the forge because of how much time he spent there as a hatchling.
And so Fusin became the clan’s blacksmith, and a very good one at that. All you need to do is give Fusin a hunk of metal, and he can create arms, armor... Just about anything under the sun or sea.
As the forge is somewhat removed from the rest of the lair, however, Fusin doesn’t interact as often with the rest of the clan. He prefers to stay near his tools and the warmth of the fire. If you want to speak with him, you would get a far quicker result if you went to talk to him rather than asking for him to come to you.
Generally, though, Fusin is a rather good natured dragon and is up for the occasional conversation if he is engaged.
On the other hand, Fusin doesn’t mind silence either. He is more than capable of keeping himself entertained with his forge and its power of creation.
(Sometimes, on a rare occasion, you can actually catch Fusin singing as he works at his forge. He’s better than he gives himself credit for.)
