Biography
It was early in the night when Ricinus awoke. At first, he thought another dragon was attacking and his muscles tensed. However, it was only a creature's cry that woke him up. Rincinus grumbled and cursed the creature silently, relaxing his muscles and settling down beside BloodMoon. His mate stirred slightly, but simply settled down with a sigh and went back to sleep. A faint smile appeared on his face and Ricinus laid his head down.
The dragon stared outside the cave and into the night sky, looking at the moon. He was wide awake now, no use falling back asleep until his fighting instincts settled back down. He continued to stare at the moon, and the faint smile soon evened itself out. Ricinus remembered that tomorrow was the day he was touched by the plague, the day his life changed forever.
It was only a few days after he hatched when the plague rolled into Earth's territory. It was every dragon for themselves, and unfortunately, Ricinus was left behind. He was abandoned by his friends, forgotten by his family. Ricinus, along with many other dragons, had been infected and exiled from home.
After a month, Ricinus was still trying to adjust to his new home. Plague was much different from Earth. The climate was different, as was the earth itself. There were bones everywhere, dead trees stuck out of the ground like a toothpick. And in the center of all of this was the Plaguebringer's domain. At first, Ricinus thought that he no longer belonged anywhere. He wasn't aligned to any element anymore. Even though he was infected, Ricinus still thought of himself as a Earth dragon. It wasn't until he met BloodMoon that maybe, just maybe, he could belong somewhere.
Their meeting was short and sweet. Ricinus was out gathering near the shore when his eyes spotted something out in the water. A beautiful plague dragon was fishing. Ricinus couldn't help but continue to stare at the plague dragon before him. He thought plague were infected, that they were, well, monsters. But something about the dragon before him was... pretty. Something Ricinus didn't expect to find in a place like this.
Since that meeting, he continued to head to the shore every day in hopes of meeting her. Eventually, Ricinus gathered up the courage to ask the dragon her name. He asked how could a beautiful dragon such as her be living in a place like this. BloodMoon didn't take no offense. Instead, the dragon smiled and said "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. This place may look like a wasteland to others, but to me this is my home. And my home is beautiful."
Ricinus never would have thought that the plague world was beautiful. However, as time went on, he slowly began to consider this place his home, with BloodMoon by his side.
