Biography

Yi is a long serving advisor of Andreyvich and Lamp, along with her mate, Screw. The pair of pearlcatchers are quite wise, witty, and good natured. They followed the Imperials after a horrible tragedy befell the great hall and land they had both once served on. Loyally, they stayed by their sides as they flew to some unknown destination.

Although Yi has never truly adjusted to life in the desert, she made it work. With her caring nature becoming more prominent, she would often collect and care for abandoned eggs belonging to feral dragons. She raised countless hatchlings, with Screw going on long, dangerous hunts to provide for them. Eventually Lamp became well enough to help, and she would lead the young dragons to the edge of the desert, where they could move on.

Much to Yi's own despair, she could never find the way to the edge of the desert to see, for even a moment, a golden sunset - a waterfall, a stream - something familiar, something warm. She realized early on, that only Andreyvich and Lamp could lead them back out. She had to accept that this would be both her and Screw's final resting place, as much it was theirs.

Over the decades, Yi saved countless hatchlings from the horrible fate of being cannibalized by feral dragons. The desert wore her down and left her with a great mental fatigue. She slowed down, as did the others, and she realized that they needed to rest, or they would all die. Andreyvich and Lamp retreated beneath the mountain to hibernate, but asked Yi and Screw to wait just a little bit longer- for Ira's sake.

As the sun set, and Ira finally found himself a replacement, he went into hibernation, and Yi and Screw followed.
