Biography
The Wandering Warrior

Maiara was named Jewel by birth, her name given to her because of her brilliant colors. They glittered and shimmered much to her parent's happiness and to them she was their little jewel. This is where her ego was supposedly started however it wasn't until her older years did her ego blossom. As she grew older her quite feminine name started to be quite the opposite to her personality. She and her sister, Peridot, stayed in the clan they were born in. Unlike her sister though she was eager to explore beyond as Windsinger's spirit of travel was in her. She befriended the clan's most skilled fighter, Kate, and trained with her so that she could have some useful skill to have to her future clan. Training with Kate created her cocky attitude and ego to grow as not every dragon in the lair had the honor of doing so. It was rare for her to pick a dragon to train so being her apprentice was a big deal to those around her. It wasn't without it's difficulties though, it was quite rigorous and exhausting but she became quite skilled. When she learned all Kate was going to teach her she packed up her bags, said good bye to her sister, and left the clan she had always known for the unknown. After traveling all of Sorneith she decided to settle down somewhere more permanent. Her first new clan was one in the Everbloom Gardens. There she found a welcoming home with all one could ever dream. Although she was accepted and loved she soon realized that she was quite different than the others, she tried to fit in, even changed her name, but to no avail. Her green coat stood out among the rest and she was the only one of her kind. She stuck through it for a while, even found a mate there but it just wasn't right. She tried her best to fit in but in the end she decided that it would be best if she left. Thanking the clan for so graciously accepting her she left once more. Unsure of where she could finally settle down she decided that she would do better if she was with family. She flew to the home of her niece, MashUp who was thrilled to see her. There she found a sense of belonging. She also realized that although traveling was fun, what she loved the most was family. She promised her niece she would stick together with her as family should. One day, she might travel again, possibly one last time, but she will do it with MashUp, and they will be together, forever, or at least that's what she thought. The clan was in need of money to help it prosper and so she volunteered her service to help her new clan with repaying another. She planned on seeing her family after the dept was replayed and even though her nieces were willing to help she figured she was going to see them really soon and went alone unaware that that wasn't the case but instead it was their last time they'd ever see each other. The new clan felt like she was back in her birth clan as she could feel the wind beneath her wings once more and the whistling of reeds. It was different however. There was much more debt than she was told as they hadn't paid much of it back. She was met kindly but it took so much work to even try to repay it. Feeling sorry for her as she worked harder than any dragon even thought of she was freed from her labors as the clan leader didn't view it as right to take it out on her. That night she was admitted into the clan and gifted a bird. She decided after working for a clan that basically kicked her out as she never was going to be able to pay the debt back, she'd instead stay in this one. Just like her first adventure into a new clan she found that she was once again accepted but felt out of place. She tried to fit in but unfortunately could not. Her whole experience up until this point humbled her and she felt defeated. She felt like there was nowhere she could go that would be like home to her. It saddened her greatly. She once again thanked yet another lair for their kindness and took off, this time hoping to settle in another wind clan as it felt quite like home to her with the singing winds and the gentle spring breeze. As she flew she heard a familiar song and upon investigating this new place she saw a few familiar faces. Relief and joy swept over her, she found her home, her true home. Since she left her birth clan moved to the Cloudsong. It was huge now with almost twice as many members. She breathed in the comforting scent and immediately sought to find her sister. The reunion was nothing short than spectacular. Her sister was thrilled to see her again and promptly saw to it that there was a celebration in her honor. She was welcomed back like a hero, beloved by those who knew her. She completed her journey. This was her true home.
