Malachite always joked that her old clan left her behind at the Tourmaline Archives and she did not notice until days later. In reality, her clan's stay at the Tourmaline Archives was meant to be temporary, but Malachite was enamored with the countless knowledge held with in the countless scrolls. Malachite bid farewell to her old clan when they departed to better lands and set herself to learn as much as she could.

After countless hours pouring over books and scrolls, Malachite had learned more during her stay at the archive than the rest of her life. Still, something was missing. Malachite had learned about the most foul of Plague poisons, the most chilling horrors imprisoned in the Fortress of Ends, and the most foreboding prophesies from the Tidelord, but she had never experienced these things firsthand. After mulling over this dilemma, Malachite left the safety of the archives to explore and document these phenomena personally.

No matter how much Malachite learned, it could not substitute experience. Malachite's forage into ley lines backfired, causing pink, twinkling spots to appear over her body. After that failure, Malachite turned to the new eye phenomenon appearing in Sornieth. This also backfired, clouding her eyes with magic. Though these were not harmful, Malachite feared that if she delved into something new, the result might kill her.

B I O G R A P H Y

Despondent over her failings and unwilling to return to the Tourmaline Archives for more study, Malachite aimlessly wandered the Arcane territory until she reached Dragonhome. She then promptly ran over another Snapper, looking just as lost as she was. This Snapper, Aventurine, claimed he had just woken from a long nap by the Earthskaker himself and he had a mission to complete, but he was not sure what the mission was. Malachite had never heard of such a thing happening and decided to humor the odd Snapper. The two then travelled together, searching for whatever Aventurine's mission was.

Tpair travelled all over Sornieth until reaching Cairnstone Rest, where Aventurine claimed his mission was within the crypt. Intrigued on the history held within the twisting caverns, Malachite happily joined him exploring the cairn. Eventually, they stumbled into Venusaur and Genesect's new home. There, Aventurine claimed that his mission was around here and he will be staying for the time being. Venusaur and Genesect, while initially surprised, welcomed Aventurine into their home and offered the same to Malachite. Malachite happily accepted, interested on studying something that could not blow up in her face.

Despite not reading on the level as she once had in the archives, Malachite regained her love for research and now hoards many scrolls in her den. She passionately holds discussions about her favorite topics with anyone who will listen. Malachite's knowledge has proven useful many times during her time at the Nathair clan, and whenever someone needs more information on a subject, Malachite is the one to be consulted. Most of time however, Malachite is happy to curl up and read.
