______ Anita always knew she would never actually fit into a clan. Her ambitious and adventurous nature basically sealed her fate. She was born to be an explorer, and an explorer could never live in just one place. Anita was sure she was destined to travel alone for the rest of her lonely life. That's when she met Gavilon.
She was surprised by how welcoming he was. He was so kind. Talking to him almost made her forget about her terrible past. Almost. Just as it started to slip out of her mind, it crawled back in.
Anita remembered the day clearly. It was bright and sunny, but clouds were creeping in. She had had a bad feeling about that day when she woke up. Maybe it was because of the dragon standing over her. They had threatened her. If she didn't contribute to the growth of the clan, they would take care of her, and not in the nice way.
She knew she was helping. An explorer's job was to explore. To travel and meet new people and bring items and sell items. Everyone else thought her job was to walk around Sornieth and enjoy the sights. Anita did enjoy the sights, and she technically did walk around Sornieth. But her job was so much more than that.
She had run away from her old clan because she was afraid. She hated that about herself. She would rather flee than fight. Maybe that was why she loved exploring and traveling so much.
Gavilon had offered her a place in his clan, Lucite. Anita was overjoyed. She joined right then and there and was welcomed by everyone. Lucite was where she met Lumin, her mate. Lumin didn't care that she sometimes left for long periods of time. It was her job, and he respected that. He smothered her in love when she returned each and every time. He loved Anita, and Anita finally loved her life/color]
