Gumball

A wizened elder, Gumball lives alone, at the hut of his former Master, located on a bank next to a waterfall. There, Gumball's only living friend, a massive cherry blossom tree, grows.

His Master found his egg floating down the river near the waterfall. His egg, being bright pink, intrigued his Master, who took great care of Gumball's embryo. When Gumball hatched, his bright colors filled his young Master with joy, who named him "Gumball."

Many, many years passed. The Master's parents long gone, the two did everything together, whether it was tending the tree, maintaining the zen garden, or shopping in the village market. Gumball was joyous and helped his Master all throughout his life with his incredible intellect, measuring the exact amount of water the tree needed or counting change when his Master bought groceries.

However, all things eventually come to an end. His Master died peacefully on his bed of old age, with Gumball watching over him. After a few more years, the village was abandoned, leaving Gumball with the remnants of the now ghost-town.

Without his Master, things have darkened for the old dragon. Gumball very rarely speaks or does much besides his daily chores. Every day he visits the grave of his best friend and Master, and meditates, hoping to hear the voice of his dearly missed comrade.
