Biography
Grim -TBD
Spirits are intrinsically drawn to Grim and rise to protect him when he is in danger. Grim, however, loathes them with every fiber of his being. He carries warding tokens and enchanted dispelling tools to keep the things at bay, but still they gladly appear to serve him. -Chee
It is remarkably uncommon for a hatchling to make their way to the Eyrie unassisted. The long flight up the mountain and the wild winds deter even some dedicated adults. But Grim, barely hatched and far from grown, nearly slipped Mast and Energy's notice in his frenzied, streaking journey. Buffeted by the very spirits he was attempting to escape, he safely arrived (or crashed, as the story goes,) into the hot spring. The current loungers- Shii, Tez, Eloise, Cael, Dune and Deo- were startled, to say the least.
The spirits, sensing a powerful, protective and loving presence, receded. Grim, who had passed out from exhaustion, was rushed to Sun. After a thorough examination, Sun pronounced him, miraculously, just fine. Arrangements were made for Dune and Deo to house him, as it was assumed such a powerfully magical hatchling would need dedicated attention that a busy dragon like Sen couldn't provide.
Grim woke in an impeccably cozy nest, with two new mothers staring unblinkingly down at him. For a week they stayed by his side in their small tower room, coaxing him out of his shell. Finally, he went before the elder council and shared his tale.
Grim had wandered away from his family and become hopelessly lost in the Tangled Wood. This was when the spirits rose for the first time, sensing the hazards of the forest and doing their duty. Terrified and confused, Grim fled deeper into the murk. When he tripped over a snag and tumbled down into a ravine, the spirits caught his wings and showed him how to fly. Poor Grim was trapped in the air for hours and miles, plagued by terrifying, inexplicable phantoms, until he plunged into the spring.
