A daughter of the original Arcane clan, whose name is never spoken, Toska remained loyal to her clan leader even after Pleiades' surrender and defection to the Plaguewarden, her family either killed or fled to distant lands. Prior to the conflict, she was a lively Imperial with a playful sense of Arcane magicks, often using her skills to imbue music or movement into the baubles her clan kept as heirlooms. She was gifted at both fine speech and writing; she was in fact studying at the Mirrorlight Promenade when her clan was first attacked.
The assimilation of the Arcane into the Plague and the much-changed social climate of the clan have darkened the young imperial's thoughts. She is bitter, too, that she was passed over as clan courtier for Manon, a dragon whose niceties are false and whose very voice is woven from the tainted magics of the Plaguewarden.
Against this Toska can offer only the poignant sorrow that enters one's work when nearly everything is lost—and in the eyes of the Shadetouched, this is not much. Still she remains with her mate, keeping to the outskirts of the clan's territory and politics. Of all the new blood, she has found solace only in the company of Thethuthinnang, who appreciates all beauty. One can often see Toska and Solnyshko sitting apart among the soft lights of the Starwood Strand, their voices low as they recite and compose, and Thethuthinnang at their side, tears running in silence down her face.
