Sapo is the conservationist of the Sanctuary of Outliers. He's responsible for checking to make sure that the way the clan treats the land they live on is sustainable and can keep them alive for years into the future. He is a firm believer that unless dragons use the land in a way to preserve its resources, the land is going to die out very soon and with it, the dragons. It's hard for him to convince others - because after all, they do have their deities who will surely fix everything they ruin - but he continues to try. He holds meetings every few months to educate any interested dragons in how they are killing the earth and what they can do to better take care of it.

His insistence about the importance of conserving resources and using them responsibly led other clans to kick him out. They didn't want to be constantly lectured about how their current lifestyle was wrong. Luckily, Adeline believed that Sapo had a good point. And besides, his ways of conserving the environment also often led to increases in production and a more beautiful landscape.
