Biography
Appearances can be deceiving, and for Ashrah this is as true as the saying can be.
While she is beautiful and her voice is kindly, she has a very dark side; even evil.
The day she hatched Ashrah's mother noticed that her siblings kept away from her in what appeared to be fear. Something about this little one was 'off' but no one could see it.
She giggled happily, attempted to play, and even put on the cutest act possible.
Everything seemed as normal as possible... Until the evening came.
Playing with one of her brothers in the usual manner of a playful spat, Ashrah pounced and tackled him, only instead of pinning him playfully and biting gently -- She went for the throat and held on with an almost feral growl.
Their mother saw the little male struggling in the grip of his sister and only when she gave a snarl did Ashrah let go.
It almost seems as if she is a spinner -- Cute, loyal, sweet, and kind -- But then suddenly cold, ruthless, brutal, and savage.
What makes it all the worse is when she does turn, she's 'happy' about, as in not a single altered emotion shows when she turns.
When she came to Indigo's lair the large Guardian was told her her proclivities and soon found out when she went to play with the other young of the lair. Upon seeing this he charged another dragon with caring for her and teaching their ways of peace.
His name was Raiden -- http://flightrising.com/main.php?p=lair&id=102097&tab=dragon&did=11671831
Despite being her mentor Raiden saw little promise in Ashrah and even thought he was charged with her upbringing, he often ignored her instead.
However, as time went on Raiden and Ashrah would grow closer and she would see him as something of a father figure -- One she had never had before now.
Age would see her seek a mate and it would be an older Ridgeback named Fujin -- http://flightrising.com/main.php?p=lair&id=102097&tab=dragon&did=15289532 -- Raiden's friend and confidant.
Despite their age gap Ashrah adores Fujin, following him in silence and when he notices her she turns away shyly before sending a flirting smile.
Well aware of her oddities, Fujin keeps them in mind and slowly begins to learn how to predict the minuscule signs when Ashrah's mind is working on darker terms. This makes their relationship invaluable to the lair's peaceful existence.
Raiden, on the other hand, is still uneasy. He hopes that if they have a brood their young will not bear the same issues as their mother.
Regardless, Ashrah was welcomed into Indigo's lair with smiles and nuzzles from all the females, especially Varua -- http://flightrising.com/main.php?p=lair&id=102097&tab=dragon&did=10576016 -- who, being something of a 'witch' saw great potential in the little Ridgeback.
Neither Fujin nor Raiden appreciate this but Varua's magick is rarely ever used for disruption of lives but more as a healer; even if she's slightly creepy and unnerving. One would guess that kind of disposition is what it takes when your mate is a snarling beastly Ridgeback male with homicidal tendencies (*See Ermac).
Time will tell whether or not Ashrah's personality remains prominent or if she changes. For now, she is welcomed with a steady glance into the lair and remains part of it.
