As foretold by the clan seer, she was hatched on Lammas under the waning light of a blue moon. The seer kept the fate of the hatchling from the clan, but everyone knew it must be grand. Why else would she have sought out the hatchling's mother. How else could she have convinced the mother to give a precious egg into the keeping of a complete stranger?

The hatchling grew into a fierce defender of the living earth in the clan's territory. Her green thumb was widely praised, and she seemed to have the deep knowledge of the earth itself. She found her way into the heart of the clan, and many felt that her wisdom was the reason for her prophetic entry into the clan. But the seers knew, as they had for a long time, that her work wasn't done yet.
