Growing up, Shinigami didn't see her parents often; her father is a bit clueless and easily distracted, and her mother is a workaholic, always in the Coliseum. There was always something more important to do than spend time with their daughter. As you can imagine, this didn't result in a particularly stable dragon. Shinigami is thrill-seeking and rude. 'Respect your elders' is a phrase she never learned the meaning of, and she has a bad habit of giving not-so-kind nicknames to everyone. Despite her seemingly care-free attitude, Shinigami's antics are mostly to gain attention. As far as she's concerned, negative attention is better than no attention at all.

Later on Shinigami found herself in a totally new environment, amongst cheerful dragons who were trying their best to be helpful. As she wasn't used to someone caring for her, she called all of them rather unpleasant names and was hissing every time someone wanted to go near her. But after a while she realized their concern is real and even though being mean to them - they still tried their best to help her. This resulted in a lot of tears, apologies and consolations. She decided to change her past, forget about insensitive parents and start a new chapter in her life. Earth region taught her patience, humility and stability. After she changed her inner self and her way of thinking, she decided another breed and name suit her better.
And thus a new dragon was born and scars of the past started to heal.
