Sanguine was born of the name Selene. From a young age Selene loved life, and all things living. The Problem was that she was cursed. Wherever Selene went death followed close behind. She was banished from the windswept Plateau, her first lair, shortly after hatching for something even Inaurata does not know of. Selene was left to wander the Scarred Wasteland, where she was accepted into a lair in the Plague flight and given the name Sanguine. The Plaguebringer saw her curse as a gift and accepted her freely in the Wyrmwound where sickness was sought for and the culture oriented death. However Sanguine could not stay long, everyone she got close to died shortly after- something Sanguine could not handle.

So she left.

When he came back from a night hunting trip, Inaurata stumbled upon Sanguine, sleeping in his cave. He was startled and in doing so let out a plume of fire which woke her and she lashed out, Tearing a rift in the Skydancer's chest. She watched in astonishment as Inaurata's vampirish abilities healed what should have been a mortal wound. He struck back, biting her with drawn fangs. Her world slowly closed in with darkness and she passed from consciousness. She awoke four days later, or at least Inaurata said it was four days.

Two puncture wounds remain still, In her neck. She woke as a vampire. The kindness she received from Inaurata would penetrate her heart until the two were inseparable. When Inaurata heard Sanguine's stories of how her name and her curse came about, he decided to keep her and to be her father. His Love and kindness toward her healed her broken heart, knowing that her curse could never kill him, and her shadow would no longer hunt for blood.
